Douglas Wakefield, PhDDirector, Center for Health Care Quality Professor, Health Management and Informatics Dr. Wakefield came to the Center for Health Care Quality in August 2005 to take the reigns as the Director for CHCQ. His research program is focused on patient care quality, safety, and value improvement, with a particular emphasis in acute care hospitals. He has extensive experience evaluating HIT implementation and its impacts on patient care quality and safety, as well as on the healthcare professionals using this technology. |
Linda Headrick, MD, MSDirector, Program in Education Innovation and Improvement Helen Mae Spiese Distinguished Faculty Scholar Senior Associate Dean for Education and Faculty Development Professor of Medicine Dr. Headrick has been with the University of Missouri-Columbia since May 2002. Her primary research interest lies in the application of continuous quality improvement to health professions education. At MU, she is responsible for the undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education programs for the School of Medicine. Dr. Headrick serves as professional representative to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Health Professions Education Collaborative. |
Leslie Hall, MDDirector, Program in Clinical Quality Improvement Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs Chief Medical Officer for University of Missouri Health Care Associate Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine Dr. Hall has been with the University of Missouri since 1999. As CHCQ's Program Director of Clinical Quality Improvement, he leads various programs within MUHC that seek to improve patient care quality, safety, and value for patients, payers, and UM Health Care personnel. He serves as co-director, along with Dr. Wakefield, for PI-LDP. |
Lanis Hicks, PhDAssociate Director of Research, Center for Health Care Quality Professor, Department of Health Management and Informatics Dr. Hicks, a health economist, has research interests in rural health, workforce requirements, and economic evaluations. A component of this research has been the development of general indicators of physician requirements and, specifically, detailed analyses of the changing specialty and geographic distribution of physicians. As Associate Director of Research, Dr. Hicks oversees research initiatives within CHCQ. |
Julie Brandt, PhDDeputy Director of Operations, Center for Health Care Quality As Deputy Director of Operations for CHCQ, Dr. Brandt oversees administrative functions with the center. She also maintains a research agenda focusing on breast cancer survivorship / thrivership, works on various programs within MUHC that seek to improve patient care quality, safety, and value, and serves as co-director, along with Drs. Hall and Wakefield of PI-LDP. |
Koby Clements, MBAProject Specialist Koby Clements began working with the Center for Health Care Quality in August 2009. Koby graduated with both a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a MBA from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the Center, Koby worked in distribution for two years as an industrial engineer and a member of the data reporting department. His primary duty is working with teams throughout the health care system as a process and quality improvement consultant. |
Lisa HammExecutive Staff Assistant Lisa Hamm has been with the University since 2004. She joined the Center for Health Care Quality as Executive Staff Assistant in May 2006. Her primary responsibilities in the Center involve coordinating all Center activities and events and providing direct assistance to the Director. |
